DO NOT pour used wax back into the original container. You may thin the wax resist to suit your use. Allow the wax to dry for at least 2 hours before glazing or adding a second coat. Mainly it is used as a resist making the area where it was applied resistant to application of glaze, dyes and colorants in that area.
Mix 1 teaspoon stain (I used black Mason Stain) with 1 teaspoon Gerstley borate and a touch of water to blend, then add 6 to 8 tablespoons of wax resist and thin as necessary to make a beautiful black wax.
